Business & Marketing teachers are certified to offer many computer science courses in Kentucky.  Looking for quality training?  The program below is highly recommended by other Business & Marketing teachers who have undergone this training and are now more comfortable delivering computer science courses in their schools.

About Edhesive

Edhesive's platform makes it possible for schools to offer a pathway of computer science courses in a blended learning format, and does not require schools to have an experienced computer science instructor on staff.
  • combines expert online content delivery with in-person support or instruction
  • students learn content from a complete sequence of video lessons, coding activities, lab assignments, and auto-graded assessments
  • schools provide a teacher who is not required to be familiar with coding and who supports students as a coach or a traditional instructor
  • Edhesive offers PD and training
  • Edhesive provides seven day per week TA support to both students and teachers
  • also used by many experienced CS instructors as a teaching tool to augment existing curriculum and teach in a fully blended or flipped learning environment
Results
  • AP CS Principles students achieved an average score of 3.5 with a pass rate of 83%.
  • AP CS A students achieved an average AP score of 3.3 with a pass rate of 67%.

About Edhesive's Partnership with Amazon Future Engineer

Edhesive has partnered with the Amazon Future Engineer program to create accessible learn-to-work opportunities for students through Edhesive’s CS courses. Any school can apply to the program but preference will go towards those that don’t already offer an AP computer science course, as well as schools that have financial need and a plan to recruit students from underrepresented populations.

In addition to supporting schools with licenses to run Edhesive programs, Amazon is also creating the following benefits exclusively for Edhesive partner schools:
  • Amazon Web Services content on cloud computing, the #1 most in-demand job skill on LinkedIn for the last two years
  • Amazon Web Services content integration in AP Computer Science Principles pertaining to data, statistical analysis, distributed computing, cloud computing, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity
  • Amazon will provide students with free AWS Educate accounts with a $75 credit towards hosting services
  • Students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher will be encouraged to apply to the Amazon Future Engineer Pathway internship program
  • Amazon is also supporting schools directly with opportunities for classroom visits, school trips, and promotional materials

About the Bridges Sponsorship Program

Bridges Sponsorship is a program to enable schools to access Edhesive CS curriculum, professional development, and support at a highly subsidized cost. Our goal is to ensure that financial hardship does not stand in the way of access to our high-calibre curricular resources.
